About Us

Rainbow’s End Ceramics was originally established in San Jose as a family business and has been evolving in Walnut Creek for over 30 years.

Combining Art, Music and Horticulture Since 1965

Rainbow’s End has a Ceramic Studio with gas reduction and Raku Kiln, Pit Fire is done in Arnold CA. The one acre property has fruit trees, vegetable, ornamental and succulent gardens. The greenhouse is primarily used for propagation.

A purpose built music studio was constructed in 1995 and recently upgraded to include recording and production. Live Music performance dates and recording projects may be found on RemedybandRx.com and August Reed Band facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/augustreedband/

Our Story

The property has been continuously developed as a labor of love since the back hill was cleared of coyote bush to erect the ceramic studio with reclaimed materials. Several large pine trees were removed and replaced with an orchard of Babcock peach trees salvaged from an agricultural field trial. Many other fruit trees have come and gone with most varieties left dormant due to current drought. The lawn has recently been sacrificed to save water for more succulents.

A Music Studio was constructed with the intention of adding a second story for a larger art studio. The second story was transformed with salvaged kitchen cabinets to a residential cottage.

Many varieties of succulents, euphorbs,  cactus and agave have been introduced as  water has become more scarce. Tomato plants are still grown each year from over 40 heirloom varieties that are shared with community and school gardens.

Succulent planting workshops have recently been conducted downtown Walnut Creek
